kalo gak salah ada wise words yang bilang, you can see (almost) everything from the sparks of someones eyes.

buat saya pribadi, kalimat diatas benar adanya.

tiap kali berada di stasiun atau bandara atau tiap kali melewati sekolah atau institusi pendidikan lainnya, secara sadar atau tidak terkadang saya suka memperhatikan ekspresi para pengantar/penjemput yang ada disana.

rasa bangga, rindu, cinta, bahagia, rangkaian doa, semua terpancar dengan jelas lewat binar mata mereka.

mungkin itu juga yang mendasari satu wise words lain yang mengatakan bahwa 'mata adalah jendela hati'

Miskomunikasi Multikultur

sebagian temans pasti pernah naik kereta api eksekutif semisal taksaka atau argolawu. tapi pernah gak merhatiin kalo papan penunjuk tempat duduknya itu salah?

coba diingat deh,kalo kita beli tiket di gambir dengan request duduk di pinggir jendela maka kita akan mendapatkan row a atau d,namun ternyata row d menjadi perdebatan hari ini.

kenapa?

karena papan petunjuk deretan duduk punya interpretasi berbeda,row a dan b digambarkan bahwa window ada di a,sebaliknya untuk row c dan d,image si window berada di sebelah huruf c,sehingga orang yg sudah berulangkali naik pesawat akan serta merta beranggapan bahwa window adalah hak dari row c.

sebagai catatan, gw selalu minta sisi window apakah itu pesawat atau kereta karena gue gampang mabok,jadi selama ini gw mengendalikan hasrat mabok gw dgn melihat pemandangan,walaupun itu hanya gumpalan awan atau bahkan gelap smasekali tapi secara sugestif gw gak mabok kalo duduk di window.

kali ini,seperti biasa gw duduk di row a,nah mbak yg skarang duduk sebelah gw ini adalah pemilik tiket row d (yg seharusnya menurut dunia pertiketan kereta adalah posisi window on the opposite of mine),

tapi...karena gambar di row c dan d menampilkan image window di sebelah huruf c maka dia 'digusur' dengan paksa oleh seorang bule (gak tau darimana) yg menganggap 'since i hold a row c ticket,then the window is mine'

sempat terjadi perdebatan diantara si mbak,si bule dan si guide bahwa row d adalah window dan c adalah aisle,tapi berhubung the image says different maka mbak ini kalah dan memilih duduk disebelah gw daripada duduk di sebelah salahsatu dari mereka.dia sempat mengadukan gangguan ini ke seseorang lewat telepon yang mungkin segera membesarkan dan menyabarkan hatinya karena sekarang dia lebih memilih tidur, ah...poor you mbak.

...sebuah miskomunikasi multikultur...

wilayah rebahan tempat duduk gw disabotase oleh serombongan turis aussie yang memutuskan untuk membalik kursi mereka shingga mereka bisa duduk berhadapan dan menempatkan koper super besar diantara celah kedua kursi kami yang skarang berpunggungan,walhasil gw harus duduk dalam posisi tegak.apa yg gw lakukan?protes ke bapak pemeriksa karcis bahwa gw gak terima hak merebahkan kursi gw disabotase.untungnya si bapak wise dan meminta rombongan itu untuk memindahkan koper jumbo itu ke gerbong sebelah yang kebetulan punya ruangan bagasi.

me?diliatin ama seluruh anggota rombongan plus bonus tatapan membara dari mbak2 guide yang merasa dikerjain karena harus mindahin sendiri tuh koper.

my response? *melengos kalem* well,berhubung we pay the same amount of money untuk naik kereta ini,maka gw berhak atas segala kenyamanan yang ditawarkan bukan?

jujur, saya bukan bersikap tak ramah pada tamu dari negeri seberang,tapi saya hanya ingin menikmati liburan saya sebagaimana seharusnya.
